The "HORRORVERSE" Newsletter Is Your New Favorite Valentine!

It’s Valentine’s Day and we know that some of your are feeling a little lonely. Maybe you’ve recently been through a bad break up, or haven’t healed from something that happened a while ago. Perhaps you’re downtrodden and hopeless because online dating just isn’t cutting it, like in our review of “The Dead Thing” (read here). Regardless of the reason for the sadness this season, there is a glimmer of hope that is here to keep you company during those tough times. A newsletter that informs you about news, events, and commentary about the latest releases and happenings in the horror community. Now, we aren’t doing some weird shameless self-promotion here, but rather encouraging you to make the Horrorverse Newsletter your Valentine.

The brainchild of two horror and entertainment industry journalists and veterans, Bee Delores and Brett Petersel. The two have “cut their teeth” by contributing their work to places like Letterboxd, Dread Central, Bloody Disgusting, and more, and their Horrorverse newsletter which releases every Friday.

Some of the standout aspects of this newsletter are weekly watch lists on Letterboxd, as well as having a more inclusive edge in regards to content curation and perspective. Thoughtful articles that touch on the relationship between our social climate and the horror genre, and of course more lists of films aligned to different themes the newsletter covers. With over 2,700 subscribers and growing, the Horrorverse Newsletter is the perfect solution to those who prefer to get their news and updates in one place rather than chasing different sites and social media accounts to get all the coverage out there.

We are subscribers ourselves and really enjoy the concise delivery of information for more transactional news bytes, and the more patient and deep commentary included for various films celebrating anniversaries or closely aligned to current events and holidays. There’s a lot to enjoy for all kinds of genre fans, and the consistency of the delivery and personalities of the writers make this something we feel every horror fan should be paying attention to. We hope to have to duo on to talk about the Horrorverse in more detail, but for now, you can check out the latest newsletter and subscribe on their site!
