X-MAS Horror Convention "SEASON'S SCREAMINGS" Confirms Talent Slate And Programming Schedule

 

The fine folks over at Midsummer Scream know that after Halloween it gets a bit blue for Horror fans but they have fixed that with their annual X-mas Horror Event, Season’s Screamings and we have all the info you need to SLAY those halls proper.

This year’s event is taking place at the Pasadena Convention Center, December 2-4.

Here are just a few of the confirmed talent scheduled to be there for the event.

“Keith David, star of this year’s NOPE, and Henry Thomas (The Haunting of Hill House, Ouija) –who we all first loved as Elliott in E.T. – are both part of a great line-up of stars who will greet fans,” said David Markland, Executive Director and Co-Founder, Season’s Screamings. “We will also welcome legends like Imagineer Bob Gur and Sara Karloff – daughter of Boris Karloff.”

Steven Weber, instantly recognizable for his seven seasons on Wings but known by horror fans for his work in The Shining mini-series and Tales from the Crypt, and Annabeth Gish – who starred in Midnight Mass but is most loved by the mainstream for Mystic Pizza – are also on the long list of who’s who meet and greets.

From the creators of "Famous Monstergirls of Burlesque" comes a PG-13 rated, creepy, holiday-themed revue.

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 3

10 a.m. early entry for “Naughty List” passholders

The Shining Legacy: Celebrate the 45th anniversary of Stephen King's The Shining and the 25th anniversary of the Mick Garris directed TV mini-series adaptation with Mike Flanagan (director of Doctor Sleep, the sequel to The Shining), Steven Weber (Jack Torrance in The Shining mini-series), Henry Thomas (Torrance in Doctor Sleep), Mick Garris and other special guests. Moderated by Fangoria's KINGCAST.

How the Grinch Stole Our Hearts: A heartfelt discussion about How the Grinch Stole Christmas! with Sara Karloff, whose father, Boris Karloff, narrated the beloved animated classic, members of animation legend Chuck Jones' family, and Emmy Award-winning Animator and Director Phil Roman, who was part of the team that brought the Grinch to life.

7 p.m. JUST ANNOUNCED James A. Janisse and Chelsea Rebecca from Dead Meat will introduce a secret screening of a brand new, unreleased holiday horror film that promises a healthy kill count – starring the lead of one of this year's most terrifying films.

“A Scary Little Christmas”
Author Matt Dupee moderates a panel about holiday horror films with the stars of genre favorites, Robert Brian Wilson (Silent Night, Deadly Night) Eric Freeman (Silent Night, Deadly Night Part 2) and Scott MacDonald (Jack Frost).

“Flanaverse Reunion”
Cast members of The Haunting of Hill House, Midnight Mass, Doctor Sleep and more join director Mike Flanagan for a talk about the making of his The Haunting anthology series on Netflix and other projects. Kate Siegel, Henry Thomas, Alex Essoe and Annabeth Gish are scheduled to appear.

Season’s Screamings also features holiday-themed haunts and yard displays, plus 200 vendors offering everything a horror fan could want in their Christmas stocking.

Single day and weekend passes are available; premium weekend “Naughty List” passes include one-hour advance entry on Saturday and Sunday, priority entry to panels, presentations, and attractions, an exclusive lanyard, and a limited-edition commemorative collectible inspired by The Shining.
