Angus Cloud Completed Filming On Two Horror Films Before His Passing
Angus Cloud, the star of HBO's hit teen drama Euphoria, passed away on Monday after battling severe mental health issues due to the recent loss of his father.
His father passed away the week prior, and his family had just returned from his funeral in Ireland.
His family released the following statement:
"Last week he buried his father and intensely struggled with this loss. The only comfort we have is knowing Angus is now reunited with his dad, who was his best friend. Angus was open about his battle with mental health and we hope that his passing can be a reminder to others that they are not alone and should not fight this on their own in silence."Yet, before we lost such a talented young man, Angus completed filming on two horror films that we are very eager to see.”
Before Angus passed though, he completed two horror films that fans will get to enjoy.
The first is an Untitled Universal Monsters Film from directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett. Plot details are unknown at this time but the film was previously titled Dracula's Daughter. The film is currently set to be released on April 19, 2024.
In addition to Angus, the film also stars Melissa Barrera, Alisha Weir, Dan Stevens, Kevin Durand, Kathryn Newton, Angus Cloud, Will Catlett, and Giancarlo Esposito.
The second posthumous film from Cloud is a horror thriller titled Your Lucky Day from writer/director Dan Brown. The film is reportedly set on Christmas Eve and deals with a hostage situation at a small convenience store where someone is in possession of a winning lottery ticket worth $150 million dollars.
The film is currently without a release date.
Angus Cloud was only 25.
