Courteney Cox In Talks To Join Neve Campbell For SCREAM 7

We know for sure Ghostface will return in SCREAM 7 for Paramount and Spyglass but Variety has an update regarding the films cast as Courteney Cox is now in talks to reprise her role as Gale Weathers

We recently told you that Neve Campbell would be returning the the franchise for Scream 7 Additionally, Kevin Williamson, who wrote the original film, will be in the directors chair this time around. Looks like a lot of SCREAM alumni are banking on the 7th sequel.

Williamson recently wrote on Instagram, “It’s been nearly 30 years since my very first script, ‘Scream,’ was directed by the legendary Wes Craven. I never would have predicted what it would become. Or that I would be directing the seventh installment of the franchise. I am overcome with gratitude and excitement, and I can’t wait to take this journey with Neve and the entire ‘Scream’ family as we bring back Sidney Prescott in the next chapter of the ‘Scream’ franchise. Thank you to all the ‘Scream’ fans. You are the gift that keeps giving.”

The upcoming Scream 7, which is currently untitled, was written by Guy Busick from a story by James Vanderbilt & Guy Busick. Stay tuned for more on the film as we learn it.
