20th Century Studios has secured Arkasha Stevenson (“Legion”, “Briarpatch”) to make her feature directorial debut with THE FIRST OMEN, a prequel to the original 1976 supernatural horror classic, THE OMEN, according to a Deadline exclusive.

The original THE OMEN, which was a huge hit at the box office, starred Gregory Peck, Lee Remick and Harvey Stephens, and followed an American ambassador who believes his five-year-old son is the Antichrist. The film spawned two sequels, 1978’s DAMIEN: OMEN II and 1981’s THE FINAL CONFLICT as well as the 2006 reboot which starred Liev Schreiber, Julia Stiles, and David Thewlis, as well as other small screen sequels.

Phantom Four will produce along with Tim Smith, who Stevenson worked with on the short film, Pineapple, as well as Netflix’s Brand New Cherry Flavor, Amazon’s Beautiful Monsters, and Channel Zero: Butcher’s Block for Syfy.
