Disneyland's HAUNTED MANSION Set To Close Its Doors In 2024 For Full Grounds Expansion And Referbishment

Disneyland Resort has confirmed that the Haunted Mansion attraction at Disneyland Park will be closing for refurbishment in January 2024.

Currently featuring its Haunted Mansion Holiday overlay, guests’ last chance to experience the ride will be January 21, 2024 according to the Disneyland Resort official hours and events calendar. On January 22, it will go down for refurbishment. No reopening date has been given, though rumors indicate the regular version of the attraction will not return until after the 2024 holiday season and its annual Haunted Mansion Holiday overlay, meaning early 2025.

Announced in August 2023, the refurbishment will include a grounds expansion and a new retail shop adjacent to the attraction’s exit. Described as a “spirited metamorphosis,” the update will add an expanded outdoor queue, new gardens, a water fountain, a gazebo, and a greenhouse.

Now don’t get your Mickey ears in a bunch, Disney usually always delivers when it comes to refurbishments and truly expanding the grounds of the Haunted Mansion is a huge undertaking. The resort is already changing things. The new retail space will be themed as a carriage house for the mansion, with the shop inside belonging to Madame Leota.

Will you be riding the original Haunted Mansion before it goes down for its new makeover?
