First 9 Minutes Of RESIDENT EVIL: WELCOME TO RACOON CITY Released Online! [Video]
In an attempt to get more folks interested in the recent theatrical reboot to the Resident Evil franchise, Sony has released the first 9 minutes of Resident Evil: Welcome To Raccoon City for fans to check out and judge the flick for themselves.
The film was released in theaters earlier in November (USA) and December (UK) of this year and has not been a big deal to MANY in the Horror or even video game community.
The footage begins with a young girl being awakened by a very creepy kid (fans will likely recognize her as Lisa Tevor), who she then follows deeper into the Raccoon City Orphanage. After an encounter with the sinister Dr. Birkin (Neal McDonough) we jump to Claire Redfield (Kaya Scodelario) for a sequence that should be very familiar to fans of the video games.
"Returning to the origins of the massively popular Resident Evil franchise, fan and filmmaker Johannes Roberts brings the games to life for a whole new generation of fans. In Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City, once the booming home of pharmaceutical giant Umbrella Corporation, Raccoon City is now a dying Midwestern town. The company’s exodus left the city a wasteland…with great evil brewing below the surface. When that evil is unleashed, a group of survivors must work together to uncover the truth behind Umbrella and contain the danger, while trying to make it through the night."
Directed by Johannes Roberts, Resident Evil: Welcome To Raccoon City is now available to watch on VOD.
