George A. Romero's 'RESIDENT EVIL' Documentary Releases Official Teaser Trailer

If you’re like us and waiting on any kind of update for director Brandon Salisbury‘s upcoming George A. Romero’s Resident Evil documentary since it was announced way back in September, we have a major treat for you today as an official teaser trailer has been released for the flick.

Salisbury stated that he wanted to pay homage to Romero’s style and the game itself with the documentary, which is listed as “Coming Soon”. As a result, the documentary takes place in a mansion that echoes the look of Resident Evil‘s Spencer Mansion, and is shot to mimic Romero’s style.

Mixed with clips from Romero’s classic Night of the Living Dead and Capcom’s Survival Horror classic, the teaser also features voice clips from newly-filmed interviews of the personalities involved in Romero’s film. The final documentary will also include archived footage and “unearthed documents” in regards to the never-realized project.

And like the final documentary, the teaser for George A. Romero’s Resident Evil sees the viewer heading into the Spencer mansion with members of S.T.A.R.S., finding notebooks and newspaper clippings that give an overview of the events leading up to Romero’s involvement with the film, and ultimately leaving the project.

Topped off by the iconic voice of Ward E. Sexton announcing the name of the documentary in classic Resident Evil style, this teaser is a major nod to fans we think you’ll all enjoy.
