Harry Potter Reboot Series Reportedly In The Works At HBO
Whispers have been ever present over the last few months that HBO would be rebooting the Harry Potter franchise but now it seems like it is indeed happening. Warner Bros. Discovery boss Davis Zazlav confirmed plans to revisit both the Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings franchises late last year when he took over as head of the studio, and we've heard rumors about several different projects since.
Now, Bloomberg is reporting that a Harry Potter reboot series is officially in development for the HBO Max streaming service.
From what we have gathered the show would re-adapt J.K. Rowling's best-selling fantasy saga, with each season focusing on one instalment in the seven-book series.
Rowling will be involved with the project "so she can “ensure it remains loyal to her original material,” but she is not expected to be appointed as showrunner.
There hasn’t been an official confirmation from HBO but ,any sites are running with this news so we thought you should know about it at least.
We know that the reboot will have some fans excited, it will also cause many to be very divided on the possible outcomes and who will be cast. We’ll bring you more as it develops.
