HBO Max Animated Series "VELMA" Puts an Adult Spin on the Scooby-Doo Characters
What an age we live in when classic Scooby-Doo gang member, Velma Dinkley, gets her own adult-themed, spin-off series from HBO Max. The show is premiering today, January 12th, and we have your first look at its trailer below.
“Velma” is an adult animated comedy series telling the origin story of Velma Dinkley, the unsung and underappreciated brains of the Scooby-Doo Mystery Inc. gang.
An original and humorous spin that unmasks the complex and colorful past of one of America’s most beloved mystery solvers, executive producer Mindy Kaling will voice the titular character.
The voice cast also includes Sam Richardson (Werewolves Within).
Charlie Grandy, Howard Klein and Sam Register also serve as executive producers, the press release sent out today notes. “Velma” is produced by Warner Bros. Animation.
