Macabre Daily Goes Into The Depths With Filmmakers DAVID YOHE and MATT DEVINO Of "THE DÆMON" (INTERVIEW)

Cosmic horror is one of the most interesting sub-genres of horror, even if it is one of the most misunderstood. Many associate it to the author H.P. Lovecraft as his stories are often a foundation for many cosmic horror movies either as adaptations or direct inspirations. Lovecraft’s signature on the genre is an interesting one considering his prose often left much to the imagination, and his stories are uniquely periodic. Still, that hasn’t stopped many from taking those stories and turning them into films, with Stuart Gordon being one of the most prolific to adapt the author. While Gordon is no longer with us, his legacy is safe and sound with the filmmakers behind this year’s "THE DÆMON", David Yohe and Matt Devino.

After an outstanding premiere at FrightFest UK just a few weeks ago, David and Matt sat down with us to talk about their film (read our glowing review here) and their inspirations. This was a great conversation, and we are so thankful to David and Matt for taking the time to share their work with us. We hope to bring you more news about "THE DÆMON" soon and for now, enjoy our interview!
