MacabreDaily Takes A Stroll Through JUPITER'S CLAIM At Universal Studios Hollywood!
Some towns look very normal on the outside…yet could be hiding some dark secrets once you step through the gates.
We had the exclusive opportunity to visit Jupiter’s Claim, the town that is featured in the upcoming sc-fi thriller ‘NOPE’ from director Jordan Peele. Jupiter’s Claim is the latest addition to the world famous Universal Hollywood studio tour and boy howdy is it a must see. The attention to detail is beyond belief and has you feeling like you are truly a part of the film.
As we were taken to the front entrance of the small western town, we were greeted by waving air filled tube men and a greeting of “WELCOME TO JUPITER’S CLAIM signage above the main street for the town. Each store was a flashback to yesteryear westerns from the general store to the saloon. Once inside, a huge inflatable Sheriff greeted us with a winking eye and a smile.
As the tram crossed the entrance threshold though, those inflatable waving men lost all their air and muster, a sound filled the air like a hurricane and made the lights on the street flicker and shake…what just passed over head to make such an impact? Could it have been a plane…or something stranger?
After the sounds and sights settled down and you venture further into Juipter’s Claim, you get a sense that something ain’t quite right…
A few knocked over pots, a broken feed machine by the petting zoo, even a motorcycle that looked like it had been in a horrible crash, were present but it was the back of the town, toward the exit that really grabbed our attention and had us wondering “What happened here?”
The dilapidated remains of an attraction known as the “STAR LASSO EXPERIANCE” could be seen and something BIG had to have caused all that damage. And the exit sign to the town was completely obliterated. What this sets up for viewers of the film is any guess to us but it is definitely something not so nice.
