New 4K Restoration of 'BRAM STOKER'S DRACULA' Being Shown In UK Theaters This Halloween!
Francis Ford Coppola delivered a horror classic when he directed Bram Stoker’s Dracula to the world in 1992 and just recently the film had a 4k restoration in a new steelbook here in the United States. Now news has hit us that the 4k version of the film will be showing in UK theaters just in time for Halloween!
In celebration of its 30th Anniversary, Park Circus has announced that it will be screening a 4K restoration of Francis Ford Coppola’s iconic Academy Award®-winning film Bram Stoker’s Dracula in cinemas from October 7.
From American Zoetrope and Columbia Pictures, 150+ cinemas across the UK & Ireland plus selected international territories will screen the film, including Vue, Odeon and Cineworld.
Gary Oldman, Winona Ryder, Anthony Hopkins and Keanu Reeves star in director Francis Ford Coppola’s visually stunning, passionately seductive version of the classic Dracula legend, from a screenplay by James V. Hart. In Bram Stoker’s Dracula, Coppola returns to the original source of the Dracula myth, and from that gothic romance, he creates a modern masterpiece.
Gary Oldman’s metamorphosis as Dracula who grows from old to young, from man to beast is nothing short of amazing. Winona Ryder brings equal intensity to the role of a young beauty who becomes the object of Dracula’s devastating desire. Anthony Hopkins co-stars as the famed doctor who dares to believe in Dracula, and then dares to confront him. Opulent, dazzling and utterly irresistible, this is Dracula as you’ve never seen him. And once you’ve seen Bram Stoker’s Dracula, you’ll never forget it.
Also coming up this Halloween from Park Circus are three classic horror film reissues celebrating major anniversaries, all with glorious 4K restorations:
Oct 14 – THE LOST BOYS (35th Anniversary)
Oct 21 – POLTERGEIST (40th Anniversary)
Oct 28 – THE THING (40th Anniversary)
