New Poster For Lionsgate's "BAGMAN", Trailer Dropping On Monday!

Folk horror takes many forms, and one of the most sinister is when it involves children. For those who are parents, the fear of something or someone taking your child is likely your biggest fear, while those who do not have children still appreciate the severity of losing a young one. Folk legends like The Boogeyman or La Llorna speak directly to these fears and have been staples of the horror genre for decades. They aren’t the only malevolent folk forces out there in search of young ones, and Lionsgate’s newest from Director Colm McCarthy, “BAGMAN”.

Check out the synopsis below, and we expect a full trailer to be released on Monday, July 29, 2024.

Synopsis

In the dark horror film BAGMAN, a family finds themselves ensnared in a nightmare as they are hunted by a malevolent, mythical creature. For centuries and across cultures, parents have warned their children of the legendary Bagman, who snatches innocent children and stuffs them into his vile, rotting bag—never to be seen again. Patrick McKee (Sam Claflin) narrowly escaped such an encounter as a boy, which left him with lasting scars throughout his adulthood. Now, Patrick’s childhood tormentor has returned, threatening the safety of his wife Karina (Antonia Thomas) and son Jake (Caréll Rhoden).
