Official Trailer For Latest Stephen King Adaptation 'THE BOOGEYMAN' Brings A Childhood Terror To Life

While you were watching the NFC Game this weekend, the latest Stephen King adaptation ‘The Boogeyman’ dropped a trailer.

From Host and Dashcam director Rob Savage, The Boogeyman will be getting a theatrical release on June 2, 2023, which is notable considering the film was originally just set for a streaming release but had such good feedback with test audiences, and an approval from King himself, which ultimately pushed the film to be in theaters.

In the film, “Still reeling from the tragic death of their mother, a teenage girl and her little brother find themselves plagued by a sadistic presence in their house and struggle to get their grieving father to pay attention before it’s too late.”

Sophie Thatcher (“Yellowjackets”) and Chris Messina (Birds of Prey) star alongside David Dastmalchian (DuneThe Suicide Squad), Marin Ireland (Y: The Last Man, The Umbrella Academy), Vivien Lyra Blair (Bird BoxMr. Corman) and Madison Hu (Voyagers).

Scott Beck & Bryan Woods (A Quiet Place) and Akela Cooper (Malignant) wrote the original drafts of the script, with Mark Heyman (Black Swan) being brought on board as well.

21 Laps’ Shawn Levy, Dan Levine & Dan Cohen are producing.
