In all honesty, the idea of ANOTHER film in the Saw franchise turned us off but with the new film Spiral: From The Book Of Saw looming towards us for release on May 14th, our interest is peaked.
Lionsgate is putting this baddie out and with it’s release date set for the end of this week, we are happy to show you the opening scene of the film to get your bloodlust flowing.
In the horror revival, Chris Rock plays a detective who is targeted by what appears to be a Jigsaw copycat killer (firstly establishing Spiral as a follow-up to the original franchise), and is forced to play a new "game" which involves his father (Samuel L. Jackson) and, seemingly, most of the cops in his precinct.
Plot Synopsis: A sadistic mastermind unleashes a twisted form of justice in SPIRAL, the terrifying new chapter from the book of SAW. Working in the shadow of an esteemed police veteran (Samuel L. Jackson), brash Detective Ezekiel “Zeke” Banks (Chris Rock) and his rookie partner (Max Minghella) take charge of a grisly investigation into murders that are eerily reminiscent of the city’s gruesome past. Unwittingly entrapped in a deepening mystery, Zeke finds himself at the center of the killer’s morbid game.
