"REJECTED" BRINGS HANDHELD HORROR HOME AND NEEDS YOUR HELP!

If the past few years have been any indication, Independent Horror is where the newest and best horror ideas come from. Sure, Hollywood is going all in on horror since it’s good for business and culturally terror is trendy (again), but if you want new and interesting ideas that tease the future direction of the genre and the people steering the ship, indies are where it’s at.

Friend of the site and independent horror filmmaker, RENE RIVAS, has been getting high praise for his previous short, JUDY (read our review here and interview with Rene here), and he’s launched the campaign for his next horror short, REJECTED. REJECTED is a trio of satire vignettes taking place in three different blood-soaked horror sub-genres. Wrapped into one (10-12 minute) short film circa 1997.

The crowdfunding campaign is currently 41% to its funding goal of $5,000 and as of today, there are a whole 21 days left to pitch in. If you’re new to crowdfunding films, it’s a great way to be a part of horror history as a financial backer while also helping independent creatives bring their visions to their completion. You can check out some of Rene’s previous work on his YouTube channel, RENE RIVAS PRODUCTIONS and if you’re interested in being a backer for REJECTED please take a look at the various levels of support you can provide!
