RENFIELD Takes A Bite Into More Casting With The Addition Of Adrian Martinez To Film

Casting is moving along nicely for the Dracula themed flick, Renfield, from Universal Pictures. Chris McKay (The Tomorrow War, The LEGO Batman Movie) is directing for Universal and so far we are very pleased with the various casting choices and today’s news is no different.

The film is based on an original story outline from The Walking Dead creator, Robert Kirkman. It centers on Renfield (Nicholas Hoult), who has grown sick and tired of his centuries as Dracula’s (Nicolas Cage) lackey. The henchman finds a new lease on life and maybe even redemption when he falls for feisty, perennially angry traffic cop Rebecca Quincy (Awkwafina).

With the film going before cameras in New Orleans, Deadline reports that Adrian Martinez (pictured in Piranha 3DD, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, Focus) has signed on to star as Rebecca’s traffic cop partner, Chris.

Recently Nic Cage ran off who has inspired his take on Dracula for this flick which you can check out here.
