SCREAM FACTORY Announces 4K UHD Releases of ‘The Fog’, ‘Army of Darkness’ and 2013’s ‘Evil Dead’ Remake!
While us Americans were blowing up part of our country and eating a hefty BBQ/Cookout meal this 4th of July, the folks at Scream Factory dropped on us a bomb of their own. Not one but 3 new 4K UHD releases will be hitting shelves soon for John Carpenter’s The Fog, Army of Darkness, and 2013’s remake of The Evil Dead!
John Carpenter’s The Fog will be getting a new 4K UHD release on September 13. And much like they’ve done with past Carpenter releases, Scream Factory are going all out with several editions, including a Limited Edition Steelbook, the film’s soundtrack on vinyl, enamel pins from Gutter Garbs, and a figure of Adrienne Barbeau‘s Stevie Wayne, courtesy of NECA.
Extras are still to be determined for the set. Pre-orders for The Fog 4K UHD are now open.
Next up is Sam Raimi’s Army of Darkness, which will arrive in 4K UHD on September 27. Army of Darkness will also be available in several editions. Extras are once again to be determined, but from the initial description, the set will include the Theatrical Cut, the Director’s Cut, the International Cut and TV Cut.
Finally, there’s the Evil Dead remake, which will arrive on 4K UHD on September 27, as well. Extras are still being determined, but again, from the initial description, the set will include both the Theatrical cut, as well as Álvarez’s 96-minute Director’s Cut!
