'SCREAM VI' Official Synopsis Reveals How Many GhostFace Killers We Will See On The Big Screen

A newly released synopsis for Scream VI sheds some light on just who will be the franchises new “final girl” as well as just how many new Ghostface Killers we can expect to be running through the streets of New York City.

Scream VI is moving out of the suburbs and into the big city. News just came our way that a new synopsis was released for the flick and it gives some pretty rad details on what to expect for the film that hits theaters on March 10th, 2023.

Based on what we’ve learned via this new synopsis, Jenna Ortega's Tara looks set to be the Scream franchise's new "final girl," while Sam Carpenter is going to suit up as Ghostface, though only to pretend she's the killer.

It's also confirmed that there will be a total of three Ghostface killers in Scream VI, something we're sure will only increase speculation about who now wields the killer's knife.

Here’s the official synopsis…

"As the survivors of the recent attack in Woodsboro travel to New York City for college, Tara, our final girl, begins to experience manic psychological breakdowns while seeing the ghosts of past killers," it reads. "Meanwhile, her sister, Sam, attempts to manipulate her by pretending to be Ghostface. But when their plan goes wrong, three new masked killers appear on the scene, leaving the question of who will survive and who will be the final victim left to be answered."

Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett return to direct the action after 2022's Scream proved to be a critical and commercial hit, while the screenplay was penned by James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick.
