Special Screening of ‘Pet Sematary: Bloodlines’ Terrifies It’s Audience at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery

When it comes to seeing a movie for the first time (especially with a horror movie) we want our experience to be memorable. The silver screen lures us true horror movie fans to enter its domain every time something we want to watch is released. We want to grab that delicious movie popcorn (which somehow always is the best popcorn, right?), quietly find our seats and eagerly sit there waiting for the previews to end so we can embark on that cinematic adventure that we all gladly pay ticket prices for.

All of us here at Macabre Daily can’t get enough of horror movies (obviously). We love being able to watch, review and write articles for our fellow horror fans every chance we get. One thing we love just as much is when an amazing movie studio (in this case Paramount+) decides to take their screenings on a bit of the macabre side (see what I did there) and screen them in a way that makes a memorable moment for all that attended. Of course, they couldn’t resist doing just that with their newest release.

On Saturday, September 30th, Paramount+ hosted a bone-chilling advanced special screening of the upcoming Paramount+ Original Film ‘Pet Sematary: Bloodlines’ at the iconic Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles, CA. 

Upon arrival, guests were greeted with spine-tingling signage announcing they had reached Sour Land, with mysterious markings daring guests to follow the path to the screening lawn, where they encountered an immersive photo integration.

Pre-screening, guests were treated to a haunting, yet cozy seating area and Pet Sematary-themed concessions, cocktails, as well as horrifically delightful giveaways. As the sun set over the cemetery, an “Echoes of the Unearthed” Procession spooked the audience just to the perfect point right before filmmaker Lindsey Anderson Beer introduced the film.

All ticket proceeds from the event went towards Wags and Walks, a 501c organization dedicated to finding healthy and happy homes for hundreds of rescue dogs. Guests who were excited to adopt their own furry friend stopped by the booth to meet and fell in love with the three adult dogs from the organization. 

Attendees included ‘Pet Sematary: Bloodlines’ Filmmaker Lindsey Anderson Beer, Executive Producer Martha Fernandez and Director of HONOR SOCIETY Oran Zegman, who got to share in the excitement with eager fans who attended the event.

‘Pet Sematary: Bloodlines’ will be premiering exclusively on Paramount+ October 6th, just in time to kick off the Halloween month we all look forward to each year.
