Taissa Farmiga Will Return As Sister Irene For 'THE NUN 2'

That pesky demon Valak will be back in The Nun 2 from director Michael Chaves (Curse of La Llorona, The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It), and Deadline reports that Taissa Farmiga will also be back. Round 2 here we go!

Framinga will reprise her role as Sister Irene for the upcoming sequel.

Bonnie Aarons will also be back, again playing the demon known as Valak, with Storm Reid (“Euphoria”) recently being set to lead the cast of the upcoming sequel.

The Nun 2 will arrive in theaters on September 8, 2023.

Here’s the first The Nun 2 plot synopsis:

“1956 – France. A priest is murdered. An evil is spreading. The sequel to the worldwide smash hit THE NUN follows SISTER IRENE as she once again comes face to face with the demonic force VALAK – THE DEMON NUN.”

Last we heard, Akela Cooper (Malignant) will be writing The Nun 2.
