Terror Films Releasing Announces New Upcoming Release "Spookt"

Paranormal horror movies set in small towns often explore the contrast between the idyllic, close-knit community and the lurking, unseen malevolence that brings fear upon their lives. These horror movies tap into the unsettling idea that even the most seemingly peaceful and familiar environments can harbor dark secrets and supernatural threats that keep us up at night. The isolation of small towns enhances the sense of claustrophobia and helplessness, as the main characters in these movies confront paranormal forces that disrupt their ordinary lives. It often is due to a catalyst from uncovering hidden histories and deep-seated fears within the community, which provides horror-going audiences with an enjoyable narrative.

 From the Press Release:

TERROR FILMS RELEASING has recently acquired worldwide rights to director Tony Reames’ paranormal horror film, “Spookt”.

This movie stars Christen Sharice, Haley Leary, and Erin Brown. This movie revolves around secrets of a small town. They are revealed when an investigator and a skeptic join up to search for a missing girl and the infamous Dr. Byler (Eric Roberts) and his connection to many of the strange occurrences taking place. Recently director Tony Reames shared his thoughts about making of the film in a press release from Terror Films Releasing

“I grew up in Greenville, PA in a small rural town north of Pittsburgh. I was born with one lung and my father had two heart transplants, so nothing about my childhood was ‘typical’.  I was always drawn to unique people and interesting stories. The more I learned about my town, the more I realized, nobody was ordinary, and nothing was ‘typical’.Spookt’ is about interesting people in a small town.”

TFR will premiere the film across multiple platforms on Friday, September 13th, 2024, including V Horror, Tubi TV, Chilling, Kings of Horror, and many more. Stay tuned here at Macabre Daily for a full review of this new addition to the TFR horror movie library, coming soon.
