THE LAST DRIVE-IN Gets Renewed For A 7th Season!

Hot on the heels of our interview with the legendary Joe Bob Briggs and Darcy the Mail Girl, we have some exciting news about the future of The Last Drive-In! Ahead of the 6th season finale, Nightmareathon, happening tonight at 9pm ET on Shudder, Joe Bob took to instagram to let the world know that yes, the drive-in is in fact still alive and will be returning for a 7th season!

“Deliverance” jokes aside, there is a lot to squeal about with this news. During our interview with Joe Bob and Darcy, we asked how long they would do this for and they were quick to respond, “as long as fans want”. It’s refreshing to see The Last Drive-In get renewed, as it is one of the few staples of horror that folks can consistently rely on. We feel many agree, that Friday nights without the Drive-In just don’t hit the same. The Last Drive-In has become a place for the horror community to come and exist regardless of what havoc the world is wreaking around us, and Joe Bob and Darcy are like our lighthouse that pull us in after the work week to watch some movies, learn some stuff, and connect with the community at large. We can’t wait to see what the Nightmareathon has cooking for us tonight, and check out our audio interview with Joe Bob and Darcy below if you missed it yesterday!
