'THE NUN 2' Set To Release In Theaters Next Halloween Season!

The next chapter in The Conjuring Universe is fast approaching with the news of The Nun 2 and today we have word from Warner Bros that the film will haunt theaters next Halloween Season.

Michael Chaves (The Curse of La Llorona, The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It) is taking over as director. Bonnie Aarons will be back, again playing the demon known as Valak, and tonight Warner Bros. has announced that the sequel will arrive in theaters on September 8, 2023.

The Nun 2 plot synopsis: “1956 – France. A priest is murdered. An evil is spreading. The sequel to the worldwide smash hit THE NUN follows SISTER IRENE as she once again comes face to face with the demonic force VALAK – THE DEMON NUN.”

When The Nun was released in theaters in 2018, it garnered a whopping $365 million dollar box office pull. That pretty much guaranteed we’d see Valak once again.
