If there was a yearbook for horror characters, the vampire would be voted the “sexiest.” While varying interpretations of the infamous bloodsucker are out there, the most common archetype is that the vampire is mysterious, sensual, and darkly romantic. Even the act of biting one’s neck and drinking their blood is sexually charged as it mimics the same sense of being depleted that sexual climax could provide, and the sheer intimacy involved with swapping blood can be seen as romantic as it is repugnant. The allure of the vampire and how it is portrayed is often as an object of desire for men, women, and the non-binary.

Epic Pictures’ specialty horror label DREAD presents SWAP, the story of a young couple that is lured into the clutches of a bloodthirsty 500-year-old vampire who tries to persuade them to swap partners and join his kind. SWAP is the newest feature from Dallas King, best known for Ink & Rain, Kiss Kiss, and U.Z.L.A.. SWAP premiered at Dead Lake Fantastic Film Festival (Serbia) and Weekend of Fear (Germany). Epic Pictures and DREAD’s VP of US Distribution and Creative Yulissa Morales says, "We’re thrilled to bring DREAD fans something like SWAP. This isn’t your typical bloodsucker story; it’s bold, provocative, and unforgettable. We hope audiences are ready to experience something daringly different in horror."
