Winston Zeddemore To "Figure Strongly" Into The Future Of The GHOSTBUSTERS Franchise

The Ghostbusters franchise is getting another film added to its roster with an, at this time, not titled sequel to Ghostbusters Afterlife on December 20, 2023, but what does this next film have in store for us?

On “Ghostbusters Day” last month, Jason Reitman and Gil Kenan confirmed what the end credits of Ghostbusters: Afterlife hinted at – that the live action sequel will return to the original films’ New York City and Firehouse setting. The end credits also seemed to reveal that Ernie Hudson who played Winston Zeddemore, will be back to take over the company.

“The character of Winston Zeddemore and Zeddemore Industries figures strongly into the future of Ghostbusters,” Jason Reitman recently told The Hollywood Reporter.

The upcoming movie is said to be the “next chapter in the Spengler family story,” with Afterlife‘s post-credits scene suggesting that Winston is taking the new crew under his wing.
