'Witches of the New World' Takes You Back To Salem For A Witch Hunt [Trailer]

Horizontal Entertainment is taking you back to Salem and the aftermath of the witch hunts in new game ‘WITCHES OF THE NEW WORLD’. We have no locked in platforms for the game as of yet but it is scheduled for a 2025 release and we have a trailer for you to check out below.

Described as having a mash-up of Survival Horror and Soulslike combat with RPG elements, Witches of the New World puts gamers in the heart of New England. You’ll be armed with your sword and flintlock pistol as you battle nightmarish creatures as Jedediah Hopkins, a witchfinder sent from England to the New World to investigate events in the aftermath of a witch hunt craze spread in Salem. After investigating the town and interviewing its inhabitants, Jedediah uncovers a conspiracy of cultists working on behalf of a witches’ sabbath seeking to take control of Salem and claim the townfolk’s souls.

“We believe this video game brings something new to the table,” explains William James, director of Witches of the New World. “Developed in Unreal Engine 5, Witches of the New World will introduce players into a time and place rarely explored in the industry: 17th century Anglo American colonies, and their inner conflicts.”
