"DEAD ISLAND 2" Reveals New Heavy-Hitting Brawler Dani as a Playable Character [Trailer]

Dead Island 2 has to be one of the games on your list that your psyched to play in 2023, with Deep Silver and Dambuster Studios continuing to slowly reveal new info for the game’s long-awaited release. A new video has been released this time introducing Dead Island 2 players to Dani , a rockabilly brawler with a knack for messing up zombies.

“Hailing from the mosh pits of County Cork in Ireland, Dani is described as “a headstrong rockabilly brawler with a foul mouth and a twisted sense of humor.” If you choose to play as Dani as you work your way through the zombie apocalypse known as HELL-A, you’ll have two very handy skills at your disposal: “Bloodlust” and “Thunderstruck”.

Bloodlust allows Dani to regain health when slaying multiple zombies in quick succession., while Thunderstruck grants Dani’s heavy attacks the ability to trigger a powerful explosion on impact.

Dani joins the previously-revealed characters Amy, Jacob and Ryan, who each have their own abilities that you’ll have to take advantage of in order to survive. You can find out more about the rest of the playable characters on the official website.

Dead Island 2 takes place several months after the events of the first game, with the United States military putting the California under full quarantine. Now a restricted zone, California has become a bloody paradise for those who refuse to leave their homes and an action-packed playground for renegades who seek adventure, glory and a fresh start.

Dead Island 2 will release on April 28 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series, Xbox One, and PC via the Epic Games Store.
