"HALLOWEEN" Getting A New Video Game From The Studio Behind "EVIL DEAD" Game

Asymmetrical horror games are all the rage these days. From Dead by Daylight to Killer Klowns From Outer Space, it seems as if many franchises are getting the video game treatment these days. For those unfamiliar with the horror gaming favorite format, asymmetrical games often see one player or a team of players pitted against another group of players. The latter team is tasked with eliminating the other team, while the former team is responsible for escaping, completing objectives, and occasionally fighting back. The genre works for slashers best, as the entire premise of those movies replicates what is seen in the gameplay. While many of these games are online only, some offer some single-player options, but they are often limited.

The team behind one of the better asymmetrical horror franchises, Evil Dead: The Game is Boss Team Games and it seems they are setting their sights on another major franchise, John Carpenter’s Halloween! The news comes courtesy of IGN who had this report:

“According to the official release, the games will allow players to "relive moments from the film and play as classic characters from one of the most iconic and important horror films of all time." The two new games are being developed in association with Compass International Pictures and Further Front, with the Unreal Engine 5 project still early in development.”

This is all we have for now, but you can head on over to IGN to read more!
