Keira Knightley Hunts a Serial Killer in Hulu’s 'THE BOSTON STRANGLER' [Trailer]

The horrific events surrounding the known serial killer, The Boston Strangler, will come to life on Hulu thanks to producer  Ridley Scott for 20th Century Studios, with Keira Knightley and Carrie Coon starring. The feature is set for a March 17th premier and we have the trailer for it below.

Matt Ruskin (“Crown Heights”) wrote and directed the serial killer thriller, which also stars David Dastmalchian (The Suicide Squad, Dune), Chris Cooper, and Alessandro Nivola.

The film follows Loretta McLaughlin (Knightley), a reporter for the Record-American newspaper, who becomes the first journalist to connect the Boston Strangler murders.

As the mysterious killer claims more and more victims, Loretta attempts to continue her investigation alongside colleague and confidante Jean Cole (Carrie Coon), yet the duo finds themselves stymied by the rampant sexism of the era.

Nevertheless, McLaughlin and Cole bravely pursue the story at great personal risk, putting their own lives on the line in their quest to uncover the truth.  

“The Boston Strangler is the name given to the murderer of 13 women in the Boston, Massachusetts, area during the early 1960s. The crimes were attributed to Albert DeSalvo based on his confession, details revealed in court during a separate case, and DNA evidence linking him to the final victim.

“In the years following DeSalvo’s conviction – but prior to the emergence of this DNA evidence – various parties investigating the crimes suggested that the murders (sometimes referred to as the “Silk Stocking Murders”) were committed by more than one person.”
