MVD Releasing Wes Craven's 'SWAMP THING' On 4K UHD As Part Of Their "Rewind Collection
News has just dropped that our friends over at MVD are releasing Wes Craven’s ‘SWAMP THING’ on 4K UHR as well as standard Blu-Ray but these releases are packed to the gills with goodies!
“Swamp Thing” marks the first 4K release from the MVD Rewind Collection. With a release date of July 25, 2023!

“We have two configurations of this release, the standard Rewind Collection Collector’s Edition Blu-ray release and Introducing our Rewind 4K Line, the “LaserVision Collection”. MVD’s 4K LaserVision Collection, while being under the same Rewind Brand, will have its own line look / design (CED, anyone?) and its own number sequence in order to avoid repeating titles in the MVD Rewind Collection (as there are plans to go back on a few of our earlier titles to re-release on 4K). I really hope you like the line look and the style of our 4K releases. It was important to me to differentiate between the Rewind Blu-ray releases and the Rewind 4K releases.”

Deep in Florida's darkest everglades, a brilliant scientist, Dr. Alec Holland (Ray Wise, Robocop) and a sexy government agent, Alice Cable (Adrienne Barbeau, John Carpenter’s The Fog) have developed a secret formula that could end world hunger and change civilization forever. Little do they know, however, that their arch nemesis, Arcane (Louis Jourdan, Octopussy) is plotting to steal the serum for his own selfish schemes. Looting the lab and kidnapping Cable, Arcane douses Holland with the chemicals and leaves him for dead in the swamp. Mutated by his own formula, Holland becomes “Swamp Thing” - a half human/half plant superhero who will stop at nothing to rescue the beautiful Cable and defeat the evil Arcane... even if it costs him his life.
