Neil Marshall's New Film THE RECKONING Takes You Back To The Witch Trials
The name Neil Marshall may not ring a bell for some but believe us, this director has an awesome pedigree. Dog Soldiers, Doomsday, The Descent, all have been stories brought to us by Marshall. Are we paying attention now? Good!
RLJE and Shudder recently acquired Neil Marshall’s latest genre offering, The Reckoning, a period horror film set against the backdrop of the Great Plague that takes place during the witch hunts in 17th century England.
We have also learned that the film has a set ON DEMAND release as well. Poster and Stills below!
The Reckoning will come to theaters, On Demand and Digital on February 5, 2021.
In the film, “After losing her husband during the Great Plague, Grace Haverstock (Charlotte Kirk) is unjustly accused of being a witch and placed in the custody of England’s most ruthless witch-hunter, Judge Moorcroft (Sean Pertwee). Forced to endure physical and emotional torture while steadfastly maintaining her innocence, Grace must face her own inner demons as the Devil himself starts to work his way into her mind.”
Joe Anderson and Steven Waddington also star. Marshall wrote the script with Charlotte Kirk and Edward Evers-Swindell, from a story by Antony Jones and Evers-Swindell.
Heather-Jane is a vampire. Ok, she isn't, but she's the closest thing you're gonna get; very anemic and actually allergic to the sun. You can find her skulking round bookshops and libraries, her favourite genres are horror, fantasy, and thriller, as long as there's some sort of death or serious injury, she's into it.
