Eleven and the gang are back in the brand new trailer for the long-delayed fourth season of Netflix’s supernatural hit, STRANGER THINGS, and by the looks of it, the upcoming season looks to be the series most ambitious yet, featuring more monsters, more locations, and more characters than ever before.

First look at Robert Englund’s character in the upcoming season of STRANGER THINGS. Image courtesy of Netflix.

Among the new characters that we get a glimpse at in the new trailer is Robert Englund’s Victor Creel, a murderer who killed his family during the 60’s and has been confined to a mental asylum ever since. Though we’re not sure how his character will play a part in the supernatural events of the season, fans are already excited to see the horror icon return to his spooky roots in the upcoming season.

In addition to Englund, there will be several new characters introduced to the series, including Jamie Campbell Bower as Peter Ballard, Eduardo Franco as Argyle, Joseph Quinn as Eddie Munson, Sherman Augustus as Lt. Colonel Sullivan, Mason Dye as Jason Carver, Nikola Djuricko as Yuri, Tom Wlaschiha as Dmitri, Myles Truitt as Patrick, Regina Ting Chen as Ms. Kelly, Grace Van Dien as Chrissy and Amybeth McNulty as Vickie.

Season four of the series will pick up six months after the Battle of Starcourt, as our core group of friends are struggling with the aftermath, many of them separated for the first time from each other and working to navigate the difficulties of high school. A new and horrifying supernatural threat arises, presenting a shocking mystery that the gang must work together to solve in order to try and finally put an end to the terrors of the Upside Down.

The first volume of episodes will launch on Netflix on May 27, 2022 with the second volume launching on July 1, 2022.
