Raw Fury's "POST TRAUMA" Promises Surreal Survival Horror This March! (TRAILER)
Survival horror games are the closest most horror fans will ever get to actually being in a scary movie. This genre of games, pioneered by Capcom’s “Resident Evil,” puts players in the shoes of the protagonist as they interact with, explore, and often fight the nefarious creatures/beings/entities that you come across. For “Resident Evil” it was zombies and mutated monsters, but the genre has expanded to include dinosaurs, twitching disfigured nurses, and aliens. Games like Remedy’s “Alan Wake” series and expanded universe have brought more surreal narrative elements to the fray in homage to folks like the dearly departed David Lynch. And like peanut butter and chocolate, when you mix survival horror with surrealism the result is something often irresistible like Raw Fury’s and Red Soul Games’ “Post Trauma.”
We covered “Post Trauma” at last year’s Fantastic Games event as a part of Fantastic Fest, and now we finally have a release date and new trailer ahead of the demo being available as part or Valve’s SteamFest. Releasing on March 31, 2025, on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5, check out the details about the game below along with some screenshots to give you a taste of the tense and obtuse world that “Post Trauma” demonstrates. In Post Trauma, players control Roman (voice acted by Togo Igawa), a tormented train conductor who awakes to find himself in a surreal dimension following a terrible panic attack. Faced with horrifying architecture and nightmarish abominations, Roman can choose to defend himself with an array of weapons or try to find the path of least resistance.
