SUMMERFEST 2024 Showcases The Horror In Gaming

Each year it seems the technology that supports gaming gets better and better, which means more great opportunities to show off how grisly horror gaming has gotten! One of the most anticipated events for gaming is Summerfest and this year there were a slew of great games announced, showcased, and demonstrated. Check out the list below of all the gaming news from Summerfest 2024 that horror fans should be devouring!

BLUMHOUSE GAMES

One of the biggest announcements was the official launch of Blumhouse Games along with a killer trailer of what properties we can expect from the storied studio of scares. Most interesting was that many of these games are new IPs and don’t conform to one type of game. There is something for everyone from cozy to creepy, and in your face action!

ALAN WAKE 2 NIGHT SPRINGS DLC

None other than Max Payne himself (well, Sam Lake) came out to personally introduce the first DLC for 2024’s best horror game, Alan Wake 2. This DLC seeks to cover the creepy Twilight Zone style show that underscores both games. Remedy really outdid themselves last year with AW2, and this expansion looks to be more of the weird same!

NO MORE ROOM IN HELL 2

Zombies and gaming go together like peanut butter and jelly, and this next-gen co-op shooter looks to capture the same thrill that previous games like Left 4 Dead have pioneered. This looks not only gruesome but super fun as well!

SLITTERHEAD

From the developers behind Silent Hill carries a lot of weight, and after seeing this trailer we’re convinced that Slitterhead is going to be something strange and special. It’s not survival horror, but it looks to blend genres and create something wholly unique and weird. Sign us up!

PHANTOM BLADE ZERO

If you like games like Elden Ring and Devil May Cry, Phantom Blade 0 may be right up your alley. The game seems to blend fast and furious action with some devastating enemies and eye-popping graphics. We can’t wait to get git gud and get over this one!
