STEVE NILES and RODNEY BARNES Talk About Bringing KOLCHAK Back To Fight The Classic Monsters (INTERVIEW)
One of the most cherished parts of our work at Macabre Daily is the opportunity to speak with people with whom we admire. The horror genre for many of us has been a constant source of companionship, oftentimes filling the void left by not having as many friends or being socially awkward with stories and characters courtesy of some of our favorite creators. Take Steve Niles and Rodney Barnes as an example. Between the two of them they have adapted, produced, and written dozens of stories, comics, and screenplays covering everything from Alaskan Zombies to Batman and Blacula. Now, these two titans of horror talent are lending their pens to Monstrous Books alongside David Dastmalchian to provide a selection of stories reviving the classic 70s character, Kolchak: The Night Stalker.
Macagre Daily was fortunate to spend some time with Steve and Rodney to discuss the work they are doing, and what it is like reviving a character from the 70s that some younger horror fans may be ignorant to. The Kickstarter is still live and runs until November 8, 2024, and if you’d like to contribute to the campaign (you KNOW we have) you can do so here!
